Bata pa lang ako uso na ang mga teleserye, telenovela at soap opera(iisa lang yun ah!). Katunayan naging kasabayan ko na sa paglaki ang ilan sa kanila sina Mara at Clara, Esperanza, Anna Luna, Anna Karenina, Ula, at ibat iba pang pangalang pambabae. Simula noon hanggang sa mga panahon ngayon patuloy ko pa ring iniisip kung bakit puro pangalan lang ng babae ang ginagawang title ng mga soap opera's at teleserye's(oo, may 's' talaga, kase marami na sila). 

Bakit nga ba hindi pwede ang Ambo? ang Eustaquio? o di kaya naman ay Esperdion Halinghing? Kunsabagay ampangit nga naman kung  sasabihin mo or maririnig mo sa iyong kasamahan sa opisina, sa eskwela at sa kalye na, "uy, pare, bilisan mo na manonood pa ako ng Ambo or ng Eustaquio". Ansagwang pakinggan di ba? Siguro nga kasama na sa kultura at nakagisnan natin na iyakin ang mga babae, kaya halos ng ganitong uri ng tema ng palabas telebisyon ay sa mga babae ang karaniwang ipinapamagat. Sabi nga iba, ang mga babae lang daw ang magaling gumawa ng iyak...nang iyak na isang mata lang ang lumuluha at pataas pa. 

Saludo ako sa mga gumagawa ng orihinal na kathang may temang kagaya ng dramang ganito, yung nakakakuha ng simpatya ng tao, yung talagang tatatak sa isipan ng masa at sa bawat manonood ang mga pagkatao ng bawat karakter na gumaganap at ginagampanan. 

Nakakalungkot isipin na sa panahon ngayon ay kokonti na lang may kakayanan na gumawa ng mga orihinal na temang dramang pantelebisyon. Karaniwan ngayon ay remake o di ka na naman ay franchise at ginawang tagalog ang mga dramang mula sa Korea, Taiwan, Argentina at Mexico. 

At sa dami na ng napanood kong soap opera, ngayon lang ako nakakita i mean nakarinig ng may patanong sa title, gaya ng Nasaan ka Elisa? or Nasaan si Elisa? ba yon. Aktuli wala pa akong napapanood na episode ng palabas na yan at ni hindi ko nga alam kung kelan siya nag-pilot, narinig ko lang sa kasamahan ko sa Choir na may palabas na ganyan. At ng marinig ko ng banggitin niya ang title ng palabas sa tv ngayon, isa sa mga kasamahan ko ang sumagot ng "Hindi ko alam, bat sa akin nyo hahanapin". 

Anyways,

1. Mula sa isang tagahatid ng softdrinks sa isang sari-sari store.

"Si Elisa? sinong elisa? Ah! yung nakatira kina kuwan, pre anu nga bang pangalan nun, yung napagtanungan natin kung saan ang daan papuntang Eskinita Avenue at penge ngang isang istik ng sigarilyo".

2. Mula naman sa isang bading sa parlor.

"eklabooo, eklabooo, eklabooo." (translates as "the sun is the center of the solar system and the object moving around it are the planets.")

3. Mula kay Aling Karya na tindera ng balot sa kanto ng corner Adriatico.

"Ayon sa mga balita at mga sabi sabi siya daw ay matagal ng gumagala-gala dito sa Maynila, may nakakita nga raw sa kalating katawan sa may Spratlys na ginagawang poste ng mga Chinese."

4. Mula sa isang kolehiyala.

"Yuckk! your so baduy (with matching rolling of eyes in one complete revolution). Grabeh! Elisa who? Durrrr! (sabay pulot sa nahulog na tokneneng then shoot sa bibig, sabay sabi ng 'wala pang 1 minute.')"

5. Mula sa lasingero sa kanto.

"Kita mo yun, hik! kumaliwa sa kanto na yun, hik! tas kapag may nakita kang aso sundan mo at huwag kang papayag na ikaw ang susundan ng aso, ha!. Kung wala namang aso, bumalik ka na lang dito at inuman tayo, hik!"

6. From an OFW in Libya being interviewed by the media.

"Kitang kita ko po kung paano kami pinalis ng aming tirahan at dinala sa isang madilim na lugar at doon, isa-isa kaming hinubaran at saka.......................kinulutan at pinedecuran ng mga bading na libyan"

Its been only 5 days to Christmas. We, Filipinos, loves this season more than any other holidays. It has always been a joyful time wherein we can spend with our families & the people we loves the most. But Christmas doesnt always worked that way. Christmas, I think, imparts a more valuable lesson in life more than gifts, foods, the songs, and all the material things that we received. We should remind ourselves that Christmas is celebrated because it is the time that we can become a better person by virtues of generosity and greatfullness. Christmas always gives us a chance to shine and display our greatness.

While I was watching the TV earlier, the ABS-CBN station ID for 2010 caught my attention. Their theme on this years Christmas plug is "Ngayong Pasko Magniningning ang Pilipino", which is interpreted by Gary V & Toni Gonzaga. Aside from its catchy tune, I think it also emphasizes that all Filipino deserves a fair chance to shine this season.

The chorus is very apt on the concluded matched between our very own Pacquiao and Mexico's pride Margarito, wherein the Filipinos shine once again. Pacquiao proved to the world how great fighter he is. Aside from that he also gave all Filipinos around the world of something to be proud of. But what is more admirable to Pacquiao was when he showed inner strength when he refused to inflict more damage to his opponent. In one of his interview he said that, "boxing is not for killing each other" and for that impressive statement he stood out one more time.

It is not only Pacquiao that makes our country proud, there is Charice Pempengco & Arnel Pineda, who does not tired on proving how talented the Filipinos are. Another is Efren Penaflorida, the CNN's 2009 Hero of the Year. He also showed how compassionate Filipinos are and for giving the importance of education, when he used his kariton being a classroom to teach the less fortunate children on the streets. And the AZKAL's, the Philippines National Football team, without the government support, still, they struggle to fight to show to world that Filipinos can excel even on football. They are just among the many ones who continously gave us something to be proud of and something to believed in. Their successes gives us hope that everyone can achieve more than what they achieved. One more reason why we shine throughout the world is because of our OFW's, the what we called the newest Hero of our time. Their dedication to their job, talents & intelligence, hospitable & care for others, also the determination to succeed are some of the many things that other countries & cultures admires of. No greater love than being apart from love ones just to give them a good life & future.

They are just among the many ones who continously gave us something to be proud of and something to believed in. Their successes gives us hope that everyone can achieve more than what they achieved.

Habang nakikipagtsismisan ako sa kapwa blogero via U-Blog sa FB. Napagusapan ang bagong aabangang teleserye sa channel 2 na SABEL. At dahil curious ako kung sino ang gaganap at ano ang kanyang papel. Ito ang tumambad na mukha sa mga link na ibinigay sa akin.
