Have you ever wonder living in a house that is turn upside down? How can you cook, if you are at the ceiling? How can you eat, if the tables and chair aren't in a right position? Well, if you're here in Taiwan (especially around Taipei area) you can get a chance to experience all of this via UPSIDE DOWN HOUSE.
Theres a lady with a long hair holding a star(if you know what i mean) inside that stairs, selling coffee! :)
This house is a two storey building turn upside down, complete with living room, study area, toilet and bath, kitchen and dining area, guest room, garage and even kids/infants room.
It is open daily and located at Huashan 1914 Creative Park in Zhongzheng District, a 5 minutes walk from the west exit of Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station of the Taipei MRT. Entrance ticket for adult is NT$199 and NT$100 for senior citizen.

Last Sunday, August 26, me and my brother together with my cousin, went to Taipei to witness the game of our very own Philippine team (Smart-Gilas) versus the USA at the34th William Jones Cup Basketball Tournament. But before we go on the venue of the said event, we roamed the city first. We visited the Taipei Bus Station, yes, the bus station. Unlike the ordinary bus station, it is located inside a Shopping Mall, including the ticketing area.

But the one thing that captured and caught my attention is this art & design outside the Mall.
I don't know what does this art called is, but i really really like it.
And when I asked my Chinese friend, what it is called?
He answered me without thinking twice with this word.....
"BIKE'S".
(OO nga naman!)
"Where is my DAY OFF?"
"Kami butuh hari libur?"
"Ngay nghi cua toi o dau?"
"Wo yao sow chia"
Ito ang sabay sabay na hinaing at sigaw ng migranteng Filipino, Vietnamese at Indonesian na namamasukan bilang domestic workers, katulong, katiwala, DH o kasambahay. Sila na nagtatrabaho para sa kani-kanilang pamilya. Sila na may mga baong pag-asa hindi lang para sa mga mahal sa buhay kundi para na rin sa kanilang mga bansang pinagmulan. Sila na pinagkakaitan ng isa o dalawang araw na pahinga. Sila ang mga totoong bagong bayani.
Sa pangunguna ng Migrant Empowerment Network of Taiwan o MENT at sa pakikipagtulungan ng Hsinchu Migrants and Immigrant Service Center(HMISC) kaakibat ang iba't ibang support group mula sa iba't ibang syudad at probinsya ng Taiwan, isinagawa ang isang malawakang protesta para sa iisang sigaw ng ating mga domestic workers, ito ay ang karapatang makapagpahinga, at ang equal rights katulad ng mga nagtatrabaho sa mga kumpanya at pabrika. Sa kabila ng pagtaas ng minimun wage para sa foreign workers sa mga kumpanya at pabrika, ang ating mga kababayan na nagtatrabaho bilang kasambahay at katiwala ay nanatili pa rin sa minimun wage na NT$15840. Kaya naman nagsama-sama at nagkaisa ang iba't ibang lahi upang iparating, katukin at kalampagin ang mamamayan ng Taiwan na bigyan ng karapatang mamasyal, makapagsimba, makapagpahinga at bigyan ng pantay na karapatan tulad ng sa iba.
Narito ang ilang highlights ng tinaguriang "MIGRANT WORKERS GRAND MARCH".

The Migrant Empowerment Network in Taiwan(MENT) in cooperation with Hsinchu Catholic Diocese Migrants & Immigrants Service Center (HMISC) and other legal organizations are inviting every OFW to support the Migrant Workers Rally this coming December 11, 2011. The main objective of this gathering is to secure the right to rest and leisure to migrant workers.
From the article posted on http://tw.migrant-workers.org/ the Council of Labor Affairs finally responded to hear the cry of many Migrant Workers especially the Domestic Workers by proposing the official Protection Act of Domestic Workers. This Act will determine the rights to have rest as well as restriction on maximum daily working hours through negotiations between the employee & the employer.
In response, everyone is invited to gather at the heart of Taipei's entertainment and shopping center in Xinyi District to alert the general public the real situation of our Domestic workers. As everyone is enjoying the weekend away from work, the thousands of our domestic migrant workers are still working, struggling and even dying under extreme labor conditions.
Once again, to all OFW here in Taiwan they need our support.

Dahil ipinanaganak akong inggitero at mahilig sumali sa kahit anong pakontes gaya ng palayuan ng ihi at pahabaan ng titi sigaw ng 'Meri Krismasssssssssssss' untill fade tuwing kapaskuhan, at dahil may angking hilig din ako sa pangongolekta ng basura ng tumbler na umiilaw, ng tuwalya at ng Choco camera, kaya naman wala akong kabalak balak sumali sa pakulo ni bulakbolero. As in wala, walang wala.......at wala ring akong ka-effort effort na magsama pa ng isang bulakbolero sa katauhan ni Ms. Bhing ng gumamela sa paraiso.

Ang National Palace Museum ng Taiwan ay isang kilalang pasyalan na napapalibutan ng mga bundok sa gitna ng siyudad ng Taipei. Ito rin ay....

At dahil nga naisama at kinulit ako ni ate Bhing na magbulakbol, wala na po nagawa ang inyong abang lingkod habang kinakaladkad sa gitna ng araw ang mura kong katawan na sing-fragile ng most fragile glass sa buong sangkalupaan, sangkaragatan at sangkalokohan. Naala ko pa ang usapan namin sa phone dati, parang ganito yun ate Charo....
Ms. Bhing: "Kelan Sho Shi(Rest Day) mo? Tara EB tayo!"
Ako: "Ate, mahirap akong kumbinsihin eh. Teka, pag-iisipan ko pa. (after 0.01 second)...Kelan ate! Ngayon na! Hindi ako nakaprepare."
Actually napostponed ang una naming plano nung May 10, dahil hindi ako pinayagan ng boss ko na magleave. Natuloy itong lakad namin nung May 22, ilang araw bago ang nakatakdang araw ng pababalik Pilipinas ni Ms. Bhing.
Isa ito sa di ko makakalimutang bulakbol sa buong OFW life ko, kasi ito rin yung time na nag-kain crash kami sa Bicol Association-Taipei chapter. Tumawa at nang-okray sa mga contestant sa isang pacontest ng isang disco bar sa Taipei. Nagpapicture sa isang kilalang University ng Taiwan. At dahil diyan....salamat sa iyo, Ms. Bhing sa oras at sandali na tayo'y nagkasama. It is indeed, one of the best memories that i'll gonna treasure for the rest my life.
