NEW MOON/BAGONG BUWAN

3 THINGS in LIFE - 2
Three things in life to STARDOM:

Dream:

(from Sister Stella L movie)

Believe:
Lahat tayo may angking talento at kakayahan.

"I'm a survivor,
I'm not gonna give up,
I'm not gon' stop,
I'm gonna work harder,
I'm a survivor,
I'm gonna make it,
I will survive,
Keep on survivin'."
(from Destiny's Child SURVIVOR)
TAIWAN...Touch Your Heart
Heto silipin nyo...

3 THINGS in LIFE
Three things in life that once gone, never come back:
TIME, WORDS, & OPPORTUNITY

TIME:
As they said, time is GOLD, so anything that you can do today, do it right now, not tomorrow, or the other day. Time is free, but its priceless. You cant own it, but you can use it. You cant keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it, it never comes back.

WORDS:
Watch your thoughts, for they become WORDS.
Watch your word, for they become ACTION.
So, before you act think it first, that no one else get hurt.
They said, SORRY is the hardest words to say.

OPPORTUNITY:
Times goes by so fast, people go in & out in our life.
Dont missed the opportunity to say how they are mean to you.
Actually opportunity never lost, once you missed it...
It fly to others.

So, dont waste your time, grope for the best word to say & never missed the opportunity to say 'I LOVE YOU' to our love ones & thank GOD for having a wonderful life & world that we are enjoying right now.
LIFE is too short.
FILL IN the BLANK
Who said fill in the blank is easy?

On my 50th post I would like all of you guys to try yourself fill this blank in, by answering YES or NO and see what you've got.

(Blank), I am not a normal person.

BAHAY KUBO by FRENCH CHOIR
When we were still a kid, the first song that our mother introduced to us is the 'Bahay Kubo. Then it was followed by our teachers on prep or nursery school. And through the years, from our forefathers up to this generation, we still introducing this folklore song to our kids.

And as i hopped John Lapus' blog, he mentioned on one of his post that he is tearfully amazed watching on facebook, this all-male French choir, singing our very own folksong. And since that he did not embeded the video on his blog, I searched it via youtube. While watching the video, i had mixed emotion (happy/amazed/proud) & tears are shed on my eyes (yung left eye lang ang may luha...joke), to this young and talented children from France singing our own song. It’s really amazing how clearly they uttered the lyrics of the song considering they are not Filipinos, especially to the talong part.

Maitrise des Hauts de France is the group's name. Founded in 1972, The choir comprise about two dozen boys and young men from schools, colleges and universities in and around Lambersart, near Lille in northern France.

These children carry the graceful beauty of singing to every corner of the world. Through the universal language of music they delight all audiences.

Last 2007, they performed at the North Arlington, New Jersey where they sang our very own BAHAY KUBO. To prove here is the video, hope that you amazed too.

13 facts on Friday the 13th

Is it true that Friday the 13th is unlucky? Many superstitious & beliefs, folklore & urban legends says that these day accompanied by this number is bad & unlucky. As for me, early this morning about 1:10 AM i totally messed up on my work, i did a lot of troubles that resulted to do a written report for my boss on what happened. I hated doing this kind of stuff.

Well, anyways, listed below are my compilation of 13 facts about friday the 13th.

1. Friday the 13th occurs when the thirteenth day of a month falls on Friday. (of course naman)

2. The fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskevidekatriaphobia, as well as friggatriskaidekaphobia. Triskaidekaphobia is fear of the number 13. (nose bleed, paki-ispell in 1 minute)

3. In numerology, the number twelve is considered the number of completeness,(e.g.12 months in a year, 12 signs of the zodiac, 12 gods of Olympus, 12 labors of Hercules, 12 tribes of Israel, 12 apostles of Jesus, 12 days of Christmas and 12 eggs in a dozen.) whereas the number thirteen was considered irregular, transgressing this completeness. There is also a superstition, thought by some to derive from the Last Supper or a Norse myth, that having thirteen people seated at a table will result in the death of one of the diners.

4.Theory of origin: The Knights Templar were a monastic military order founded in Jerusalem in 1118 C.E., whose mission was to protect Christian pilgrims during the Crusades. Over the next two centuries, the Knights Templar became extraordinarily powerful and wealthy. Threatened by that power and eager to acquire their wealth, King Philip secretly ordered the mass arrest of all the Knights Templar in France on Friday, October 13, 1307 - Friday the 13th

5.The Opening ceremony of Athens Olympic Games took place on Friday, August 13, 2004.

6.Four of the twelve films in the Friday the 13th series, was released on a Friday the 13th.

7.Resident Evil 5 was released in the US and UK on Friday March 13 2009.

8.Fidel Castro was born on Friday, Aug. 13, 1926.

9. Most of the buildings, hotels & condo unit renumbering room assignments to eliminated the room #13 & the floor after 12th is 14th floor.

10.Every month that begins on a Sunday will contain a Friday the 13th, and there is at least one Friday the 13th in every calendar year.

11.Every Friday the 13th thousands of bikers ride to the small town of Port Dover Ontario, Canada.

12.Many cities do not have a 13th Street or a 13th Avenue.

13.The sequel (reboot of a second film) of Friday the 13th series is planned to be released Friday August 13, 2010.

Remember, we, ourselves do our own path & destiny & not by any superstitious, urban legends & beliefs that our oldies taught us.

LIFE

The most difficult phase of life

Is not when no one, understands you;
It is when you dont understand yourself.

For everything you have missed, you have gained something;
And for everything you gain, you lose something else.

It is about your outlook towards life.
You can either regret or rejoice.

Dont write your name on the sand, waves will wash it away.
Dont write your name in the sky, wind may blow it away.

Thats where it will stay.

In life just dont trust people, who change their feelings in time...
Instead trust those people, whose feelings remains the same, even when time changes.

Never explain yourself to anyone.
Because the person who likes you doesnt need it,

And the person who dislikes you wont believe it.

(And if you asked me, whats the connection of the picture above, well simply, LIFE is like a winding road.)

Which Physics Theory are You?
To kill boredom, I took a quiz from facebook this morning. About, "Which Physics Theory are you?" And after a long questions from 1 to 6, the result is this,

Which Physics Theory are you?

Relativity

And it explained like this...

Rex took the Which Physics Theory are you? quiz and the result is Relativity

You're like Einstein. You admire the unbounded structure of the world. You'd love the universe to be simple and elegant. You always find yourself running out of time because your clock slows down.

And this is my wacky explanation goes...

Relativity: I had many relatives both on my mother & fathers side. Hahaha.

Like Einstein: One of my teacher in elementary threw an eraser on me, bad thing is I'd never become as inteligent as Einstein (Shaira Luna lang ang kalevel ko, heheheh)

Admires the unbounded structure of the world: Eiffel Tower and Louvre. Indeed a great structures. Hehehe.

Loves the universe to be simple: I love Miss Universe candidates on the swimsuit competition...hehehehe

Always finds yourself running: I'm not a thieffffff (Hindi ako magnanakaw)... LOLZ.  Simply because i'm always late on my work, good thing is i have a lot of leaves that i can used to fill in my tardiness. One of my co-worker said, "alam mo suko na ang alarm clock sa 'yo". Sounds funny but hate to admit thats true. :(

Lesson to be learned: "Huwag magbilang ng manok, kung ang alaga mo ay itik!!!".

STAR NG PASKO & PASALOVE
SA ANUMANG HAMON NG BUHAY,
ANUMANG UNOS AT BAGYO ANG DUMAAN,
NANATILI PA RIN TAYONG MATATAG
AT PATULOY NA NANINIWALA AT NAGTITIWALA SA KANYA...

KAYA SAMA-SAMA TAYONG MAGPASALOVE, DAHIL IKAW BRO... ANG STAR NG PASKO...

DAHIL IKAW BRO...ANG STAR NG PASKO

SAMA-SAMA TAYONG MAG-PASALOVE

YULETIDE SEASON IS APPROACHING

Cool wind.

Divisoria.

Wish list.

Decors.

Snow in some part of the Globe.

Carols.

Santa.

These are some of many things or signs that the yuletide season is approaching. And no matter how busy we are, still, this season is the best season of the year, simply because we celebrate the son of God's natal day. For many this is also the time for gathering, reunion, giving, thanksgiving, party and of course longggggggg vacation.

This season is also the season of love. A season where everyone expresses their feelings & concerns towards the other. Bad thing is, only this season it happened.

CHRISTMAS is giving. Giving that not expects anything in return. Giving that comes from the heart, no matter how small it is. Remember that GOD gave his son for the LOVE of us.

So, lets make our day, everyday... like CHRISTMAS.

And a few days before CHRISTMAS is my birthday... :)

SUNSCREEN

I heard this song way back late '90s through RX93.1. From then on, i used this as my daily dose of a reminder. For me its great to start the day hearing this SUNSCREEN. Sometimes I used this as a guide to know how far i've been in this journey of life...

Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of ’99
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be
it. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by
scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable
than my own meandering
experience…I will dispense this advice now.

Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth; oh nevermind; you will not
understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded.
But trust me, in 20 years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and
recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before
you and how fabulous you really looked….You’re not as fat as you
imagine.

Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as
effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing
bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that
never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm
on some idle Tuesday.

Do one thing everyday that scares you

Sing

Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with
people who are reckless with yours.

Floss

Don’t waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes
you’re behind…the race is long, and in the end, it’s only with
yourself.

Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you
succeed in doing this, tell me how.

Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements.

Stretch

Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your
life…the most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they
wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year
olds I know still don’t.

Get plenty of calcium.

Be kind to your knees, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.

Maybe you’ll marry, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll have children, maybe
you won’t, maybe you’ll divorce at 40, maybe you’ll dance the funky
chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary…what ever you do, don’t
congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself either – your
choices are half chance, so are everybody else’s. Enjoy your body,
use it every way you can…don’t be afraid of it, or what other people
think of it, it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever
own..

Dance…even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room.

Read the directions, even if you don’t follow them.

Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly.

Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for
good.

Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the
people most likely to stick with you in the future.

Understand that friends come and go,but for the precious few you
should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and
lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you
knew when you were young.

Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard; live
in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.

Travel.

Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will
philander, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize
that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were
noble and children respected their elders.

Respect your elders.

Don’t expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund,
maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one
might run out.

Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will
look 85.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who
supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of
fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the
ugly parts and recycling it for more than
it’s worth.

But trust me on the sunscreen…
