BAWAL...

GOOD OMENS
Yesterday I went to the city to looked for the Adidas shoes that I saw in Taipei last December. I roamed two malls & some outlets to searched for that fuckin' shoes. After 2 to 3 hours of "back here & back there" attitude of a shoppers like me, I ended up at SOGO (not the same with the one that you're thinking somewhere along in Sta. Mesa, Pasay or in Pasig). Actually, SOGO is a name of one of the most popular mall here in Taiwan, and since the Chinese New Year is nearly approaching, they are "on sale". But instead in an Adidas shoes section, I found myself lurking in a row of shelves wherein knowledge and some informations are stacked & waiting for someone to be bought and red. After reading some of the snippets of some interesting books, I saw this book & caught my attention. GOOD OMENS.

It is all about Armageddon with a twist, and since it is located in humor section, definitely it must be hilarious & funny. I haven't opened yet the book because I need to do some chores first, do the laundry, cleaned up the mess that I left at my room, attend the choir practice & many more.

According to wiki, this book is a quasi-parody of the 1976 film The Omen (as well as other books and films of the genre), concerning the birth of the son of satan, the coming of the end of times and the attempts of the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley to avert them, having become accustomed to their comfortable situations in the human world. A subplot features the gathering of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse — War, Famine, Pollution(Pestilence having retired in 1936 following the discovery of penicillin), and Death — the last of whom is characterised in a manner reminiscent of the personification of Death in Pratchett's Discworls novels and calls himself Azrael before his final exit.

With that info from wiki, i am looking forward to enjoy reading this book and be rated it with many stars or else...burn it! lolz!

Happy Weekend!
100 FUN THINGS TO DO IN TAIWAN CONTEST
2011, marks the centennial year for Taiwan as Republican country. According to history, 1912 was referred to as “the first year of the Republic of China,” and 2008 is “the 97th year of the Republic,” and so on. This is a continuation of the millennia-old system in China, beginning Chinese New Year designations as the beginning of a new era, which once coincided with the ascension of a new emperor.

To commemorate the centennial year, the government & some of its department announced a contest for local & foreign people residing in the country island wide. This contest, on behalf of the tourism board of Taiwan, have the theme "100 Fun Things to Do in Taiwan". All you gonna do is to write something or all about Taiwan wherein you enjoyed & have fun in 100 words or less. MOVIE SPOILER presents GULLIVERS TRAVELS

Wala kayong magagawa dahil natawa much ako sa movie. Hehehe...

To start reading my spoiler post, press 1 on your keyboard (iieject kayo nyan hanggang Liliput).

And the rest.....

Amen!

Have a nice day to ebriwan!!!

MY NEW YEARS EVE STORY
Happy New Year Blogsphere!!!!

When I was a kid I usually welcome New Year with different style, pahiga, patagilid, patalon, or minsan padapa! Hehehe!, Just Kidding!. Seriously, I always celebrated New Years Eve with my family, a gathering slash reunion slash food slash putukan, but since I was far away from them, I mostly welcome New Years Eve by myself alone, sometimes in bed & sometimes with my friends. Until last year when I got the chance to celebrated it along the road of Taipei City wherein the famous Taipei 101 is located. With my brother & some of his friends we welcomed 2010 with a BANG.

Now, this time, I welcome 2011 (the rabbit year), blissfully with some of my friends. Again at Taiwan's proud highest building, the so-called yi[1]-ling[0]-yi[1], in chinese. This year will be marking the Taiwan's millennium year (11 years behind the normal year). Hindi ko rin alam kung bakit sila na-lag ng 11 years, consult kuya google na lang, for more details. Anyways, I & my buddies sat along the road fronting the Taipei City Hall and in between Citi Bank Building, where a good spot for fireworks viewing is located.

After the Fireworks display, the 101 skyscraper showed the message 100 RheartC, meaning the Republic Loves China, 100 means millennium year for Taiwan...

It is indeed a memorable event for me. You want to know why? Oh by the way, we are interviewed by a local TV network here na nagcocover ng whats happening before the countdown, sayang nga at hindi namin nakuhanan ng picture si ateng reporter.
