Happy New Year Blogsphere!!!!
When I was a kid I usually welcome New Year with different style, pahiga, patagilid, patalon, or minsan padapa! Hehehe!, Just Kidding!. Seriously, I always celebrated New Years Eve with my family, a gathering slash reunion slash food slash putukan, but since I was far away from them, I mostly welcome New Years Eve by myself alone, sometimes in bed & sometimes with my friends. Until last year when I got the chance to celebrated it along the road of Taipei City wherein the famous Taipei 101 is located. With my brother & some of his friends we welcomed 2010 with a BANG.
Now, this time, I welcome 2011 (the rabbit year), blissfully with some of my friends. Again at Taiwan's proud highest building, the so-called yi[1]-ling[0]-yi[1], in chinese. This year will be marking the Taiwan's millennium year (11 years behind the normal year). Hindi ko rin alam kung bakit sila na-lag ng 11 years, consult kuya google na lang, for more details. Anyways, I & my buddies sat along the road fronting the Taipei City Hall and in between Citi Bank Building, where a good spot for fireworks viewing is located.

After the Fireworks display, the 101 skyscraper showed the message 100 RheartC, meaning the Republic Loves China, 100 means millennium year for Taiwan...
It is indeed a memorable event for me. You want to know why? Oh by the way, we are interviewed by a local TV network here na nagcocover ng whats happening before the countdown, sayang nga at hindi namin nakuhanan ng picture si ateng reporter.
