Critics: ‘Lavish’ meal in bad taste
Spending money for a lavish meal, while our country experiencing economic downturns?
That's too much!!! Moreover, not only our very own president but also her bunch of clonnies.
From the report of Richard Johnson on his page six article of 'Eat and Drink' section of NY Post, he said that, "The economic downturn hasn't persuaded everyone to pinch pennies. Philippines President Maria Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was at Le Cirque the other night with a large entourage enjoying the good life, even though the former comptroller of her country's armed services, Carlos Garcia, was found guilty earlier this year of per jury and two of his sons were arrested in the US on bulk cash-smuggling charges. Macapagal-Arroyo ordered several bottles of very expensive wine, pushing the dinner tab up to $20,000". (http://www.nypost.com/seven/08072009...ink_183333.htm).
Wow 20,000 dollars, if you estimated it to urban people almost 10 to 15,000 Filipinos will rendered on that money. Thanks to Filipino tax payers, this is their money, our hardwork.
